PERSISTENSE Parts Ways With Guitarist

February 22, 2011

Guitarist Ralf van der Horst has left Den Bosch, Netherlands-based thrash/death metallers PERSISTENSE (a contraction of the words "to persist" and "intense"). The rest of the band will not seek a replacement and will continue as a four-piece.

PERSISTENSE 2011 is:

Stefan Van Vugt - Vocals
Hein Willekens - Guitar
Mark De Haas - Bass
Bram Trommelen - Drums

PERSISTENSE is currently working on material for its sophomore album, due before the end of the year via Deity Down Records

The band last year parted ways with guitarist Jacques Maas and replaced him with Hein Willekens.

The band's full-length debut, "In Blood And Heart", came out in September 2009 via Deity Down.

A video for the song "The Reality" — taken from "In Blood And Heart" — can be viewed below.
